Police: Man shot in car on Youngstown’s south side

Police said Edthaniel Tarver was shot on Parkcliff Avenue in Youngstown

Youngstown police are investigating a shooting on Parkcliff Avenue.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown Police have identified the man shot Thursday night on the city’s south side.

Police said an unknown person shot 20-year-old Edthaniel Tarver, of Liberty. Tarver was sitting in a white Hyundai Sonata with his 17-year-old brother.

The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m on Parkcliff Avenue off of Glenwood Avenue.

Police said the shooting busted the back windshield of the car, and casings were found around the vehicle.

Crews took Tarver to St. Elizabeth’s Health Center. Tarver is expected to survive.

No arrests have been made yet, and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
