YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Mr. Charles Evans Traylor, Jr., 64, of Youngstown, who departed this life Friday, January 6, 2017.
Mr. Traylor, affectionately known as “Chuckie”, was born July 30, 1952 in Youngstown, a son of Charles Evans Sr. and Helen Brady Traylor.
He attended Youngstown City Schools.
Traylor joined the U.S. Navy on August 24, 1973 and was honorably discharged August 23, 1979.
He enjoyed cooking, reading and loved being with his beloved family.
He leaves to cherish his beloved memory his daughter, Alissa of California; three brothers, John L. (Vanessa) Traylor of Columbus, Jonathan Traylor of Charlotte, North Carolina and Marcus (Holly) Traylor of California; two sisters, Pamela (Tony) Hanserd of Detroit, Michigan and Carol A. Traylor of Salinas, California; five nieces, Deona, Kenya, Mia, Tyler and Leahia; three nephews, Cameron, Christopher and Xavier and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Diana Finley, Sandra Traylor and Denise E. Traylor.
Friends may call from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home prior to the service to be held at 11:00 a.m.
A television tribute will air Thursday, January 19 at the following approximate times:
12:25 p.m. WKBN, 6:58 p.m. on MyYTV and 10:37 p.m. FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
