REYNOLDS, Pennsylvania – Linda L. Black, of Reynolds, passed away unexpectedly in her residence on Sunday, January 8, 2017. She was 66.
Born May 22, 1950, in Sharon, she was the daughter of Charles F. and Frances A. Spargo Horton Joslin.
Linda was a 1968 graduate of Reynolds High School and a veteran of the Army, serving part of her enlistment in Germany.
She was married to Edward Black, who preceded her in death.
Linda was most recently employed as a real estate agent in Virginia.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, fishing, golfing and had a passion for softball.
She is survived by her mother of Hermitage; three sisters, Wanda Horton of Hermitage, Sandy Taylor and her husband Dennis of Indiana and Gail Thompson of Ocala, Florida; two brothers, Skip Horton of Hermitage and Dale Horton of Washington; one grandson, Shane Black of Reynolds and an aunt, Jean McKee of Georgia. She will also be missed by Eddie and Mary Sparkman of Virginia and Pat Biller, her lifelong friend, of Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her father; son, Cliff Black in 2000; stepfather, Henry E. Joslin, two sisters, infant Marilyn and Mary Jane and three brothers, Thomas, Charles David and Albert Horton.
Calling hours will be Noon until time of service on Friday January 13 in the John Flynn Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2630 E. State St., Hermitage.
Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 13 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. C. Charles Eckles, pastor of IHS Ministries in Hermitage, officiating.
Burial will take place at America’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
