YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the L. E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home for Ms. Marcella Louise Phillips, 82, of Youngstown, who entered eternal rest on Friday, January 13, 2017 at her home.
Ms. Phillips was born March 3, 1934 in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Vivian Reed Hudson.
She was a 1952 graduate of East High School and had worked as an assembler with Delphi Packard Electric, retiring in 1999.
She had attended Greater Friendship Baptist Church and most recently New Bethel Baptist Church.
She enjoyed shopping, cooking and catering, entertaining, playing social cards, bingo and most of all loved being with her children and family.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory three children, Ardis McCullough-Brown and Lionel (Jenise) Phillips both of Youngstown and Andrew (Andrea) Phillips of Gastonia, North Carolina; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph; mother and stepfather, Vivian and Harold Hunt and son-in-law, Bernard Brown, Jr.
Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the L. E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home.
