CORTLAND, Ohio – Richard (Rick) J. Manz, age 68, of Cortland, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Windsor House of Champion.
Rick was born June 4, 1948 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania to the late George J. and Jane (Baucic) Manz.
He was a 1966 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and he retired after many years of service at Thomas Steel.
Rick was an avid Football fan, his team was the Philadelphia Eagles. He enjoyed gardening, golfing and traveling to Las Vegas. He especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces and their family dog Lucky.
Rick was an original person with a generous spirit and was easy to talk to. Rick will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his brother, Bret A. (Joellen) Manz; nieces, Jenna and Kayla Manz and numerous cousins and friends.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21 at the Lane Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, 164 N. High St. in Cortland, where Fr. Carl Kish will conduct a memorial service at 1:00 p.m.
