DADE CITY, Florida (Formerly Cortland, Ohio) – Nancy Habosky Hite, 86, of Dade City, Florida, formerly of Cortland, passed quietly on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in Southern Pines Healthcare Facility of New Port Richey after a brief illness.
She was born the youngest of ten children on December 29, 1930 in Warren, Ohio to the late Joseph and Irene Steffan Habosky.
Nancy worked for Packard Electric of Warren for 30 plus years when she retired.
She enjoyed crafting, short cruises, solitaire and feeding the birds and stray cats. She was a friend to all.
Nancy will be sadly missed by her sister, Caroline Mathews; along with several nieces and nephews; five stepchildren, Dianna (George) Neil, Charles (Luanne) Hite, Jr., Russell (Lynda) Hite, Tammie (Dave) Williams, Rebecca (Patrick) Litowitz; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two very special friends, Bob and Tonya Hahn and her loving cat, Mitzy.
Nancy was preceded in death by her first husband, John Jackson. She then married Charles P. Hite, Sr. who also preceded her in death. Nancy was also preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Lonce, Mary Panic and Ann Harding and her brothers, Mike Panic, Walter Habosky, Frank Habosky, John Habosky and Joe Habosky.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren, Ohio at 12:00 Noon.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon at the funeral home prior to the service.
Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery.
