PULASKI, Pennsylvania – Dorothy Jean Biros of Pulaski died at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2017, in Avalon Springs Nursing Center, Mercer, after an extended illness. She was 85.
Dorothy was born October 13, 1931, in Sharon to Margret Ellen (Bell) Edeburn and Earl Walker Edeburn.
She graduated from the former Battlerow Country School in Pulaski.
Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member of Presbyterian Church of West Middlesex.
She enjoyed watching wrestling, the Steelers and NASCAR.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol J. Darby of Williamsburg, Virginia; her sons, Ronald W. Biros and his wife, Susan of New Wilmington and James E. Biros and his wife, Marlene of New Wilmington; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Pooky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Biros, whom she married March 22, 1947 and who passed away September 6, 2010 and a sister, Gula Meredith.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Calling hours will be 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 10 in the chapel of John Flynn Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2630 E. State St., Hermitage.
Memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 10 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. C. Charles Eckles, pastor of I.H.S. Gospel Ministries, Hermitage, officiating.
Cremation has taken place in the funeral home crematory.
