WARREN, Ohio – Lee Sikes passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Gillette Nursing Home in Warren.
Lee was born June 28, 1928 in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Mike and Helen Rockfoe Siko.
Lee graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1946 and was a United States Army Veteran of World War II and Korea.
He was a member of the former St. Pius X Catholic Church and currently a member of St. William’s Catholic Church in Champion.
Lee was co-owner of D&S Steakranch.
He enjoyed golfing and fishing and loved to watch Ohio State football and root for the Cincinnati Bengals. Lee was a witty and fun guy.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, the former Theresa Salvato, whom he married May 10, 1952; his son, Lenny Sikes of Warren; daughters, Leslie (Gerald) Albani of Warren and Lorraine (Paul) Trina of Ft. Myers, Florida; ten grandchildren, Alexa Sikes, Erik Sikes, Rachael Albani, Rebecca (Ricky) Whitaker, Leah (Noah) Gilger, Gina Albani, Jeremy Albani, McKensie Trina, Jackie (fiancé Joel) Trina and Tyler Trina and many nieces and nephews who looked up to him and loved him dearly.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Florence Layo.
A Memorial Mass will be offered Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Williams Catholic Church in Champion.
