WARREN, Ohio – Dorchie Bell Williams, 87, of Warren, Ohio, departed this life Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 3:25 p.m. at Fairfax Nursing Home in Cleveland, following an extended illness.
She was born July 16, 1929 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, the daughter of Robert and Edith M. Trice Pendelton, coming to Warren as a child.
Ms. Williams worked for TCCA for several years as a bus aide, before retiring.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church and enjoyed shopping and loved her grandchildren.
She was a 1947 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School.
She leaves to mourn one son, Nicholas Antonio Williams of Youngstown; two daughters, Ms. Bridget Payne of Cleveland and Ms. Roxanne Moore of Warren; one sister, Ms. Martha Ellis of Youngstown; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael LaMont Williams and two sisters, Ms. Ione Dora Pendelton and Ms. Jane Marie Callion.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Second Baptist Church.
Calling hours will be held one hour prior to service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
