SHARON, Pennsylvania – Clara “Becky” R. Donaldson-McKelvey of Sharon died at 10:08 a.m. Sunday, February 12, 2017, in her home after an extended illness. She was 83.
She was born August 16, 1933, in Grove City to Clara (Weston) Christy and Elmer Christy II.
She attended Grove City schools.
A homemaker, she also was a laundry supervisor for Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage, for 15 years.
She was a member of the former Westside Baptist Church, Sharon.
Becky enjoyed shopping, going to yard sales, gardening, crocheting and talking on the CB radio. Her handle was “Dreamer.”
Surviving are her daughters, Charlotte Fair, Donna Anderson and Sis McKelvey, all of Sharon, Dorothy McKelvey of Alabama and Pat McKelvey of Brookfield; her sons, Bill McKelvey and his wife, Mary of Masury, Harold McKelvey and his wide, Debra of Hermitage and Keith McKelvey and his wife, Leann and Kenny McKelvey, all of Alabama; 28 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Donaldson; her second husband, John McKelvey; daughters, Connie Weaver and Debbie Hagon; a son, John Wayne McKelvey; sisters, Mary Tipton, Della Christy and Annabell Horsemen and brothers, Harry, Elmer III and Albert Christy.
Calling hours will begin at 3:00 p.m. to time of service Thursday, February 16 in John Flynn Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 2630 E. State St., Hermitage.
Funeral Services will begin at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16 in the funeral home with the Rev. C. Charles Eckles officiating.
A television tribute will air Wednesday, February 15 at the following approximate times:
