WARREN, Ohio – Rafira “Fira” Rachel Virca of Warren, Ohio entered peacefully into rest on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Health Care Center in Warren, following a brief illness. She was 92.
Fira was born the daughter of the late Niculae and Sinica (Bucur) Virca on June 17, 1924 in Warren, Ohio and was a life-long area resident.
She was a 1943 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and was employed with the Halle Brothers of Cleveland as a buyer and then later employed with the Trumbull County Title Department until her retirement in 1984.
She served as treasurer of the local chapter of P.E.R.I. retirees for many years and had enjoyed bowling, golfing and reading in her spare time.
Her memories will be remembered and celebrated by those she leaves behind: sister, Ann Maxin; sister-in-law, Mary Virca; nieces, Elena Willoughby, Jeanette (Vic) Dasbach and Jeanie Virca; nephews, Nick (Kat) Virca, George “Duke” (Gabrielle) Virca and Earl (Barb) Maxin; great-nieces, Erin Maxin, Shannon (Jason) Perkowski, Brianne (Dane) Cavender and Lena Willoughby and great-great-niece, Madison Bayus.
Private Services will be held, there will be no visitation.
