WARREN, Ohio – Letha Mae Berry Walters, 85, of Warren, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 27, 2017.
Mrs. Walters was born March 6, 1931, in Orlando, Florida, the daughter of Isaiah and Nora Manuel Berry.
She was a loving homemaker and owner/operator of Letha’s Seamstress Shop and Daycare.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, singing, loved crocheting and sports.
Mother Walters was a member of Monument of Faith C.O.G.I.C., where she served on the Mother’s Board and Culinary Ministry. She was a counselor in her own right.
She was very supportive of her children and grandchildren in sports and all other endeavors.
She had been employed at Gillette Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Imperial Nursing Home, Master and Miracle Mart Dry Cleaners.
She leaves to mourn her passing but to rejoice in her peace, four sons, Albert Walters of Texas, Freddie Donald (Antoinette) Walters of Rochester, New York, Ronald Bernard (Jodie) Walters of Minneapolis and Prescott Enniss Walters of Warren; four daughters, Beverly Jene Sparks, Dr. Vivian Faye (Dr. Gerald L.) Morgan, Brenda Jean (Bishop David L., Sr.) Herron and JaNiece Renee Walters, all of Warren; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-granchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Albert Ray Walters; two children, Reginald Ray Walters and Gwendolyn Eileen Walters; brothers and their wives, Isaiah and Thelma Berry and Samuel and Ernestine Berry; two sisters, Elizabeth Berry and Elenora Berry and in-laws, Wallace and Estella Walters.
Family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, March 1 and 2, at the Community Family Outreach complex, 2165 Highland Ave. SW, Warren.
Visitation hours will be 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Monument of Faith C.O.G.I.C., 2165 Highland Ave. SW, Warren.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2017, at the church.
