YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2017 at the Fellowship Tabernacle Christian Center for Mr. John LaMont Turner, Jr., 27, of Youngstown, Ohio who entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mr. Turner, affectionately known as “Lil John”, was born October 12, 1989 in Youngstown, a son of John L., Sr. and Twintella Carter Turner.
He was a 2008 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, where he played football, a 2012 graduate of ITT Technical School where he received his AA degree in Criminal Justice with honors.
John was employed as an Asbestos Hazard Abatement Specialist with the Howland Company LLC.
He loved dogs, especially his furry best friend, Ox, was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Football fan, enjoyed reading, music and helping others. John had a heart of gold and was a protector of his family and friends, as well as a fun-loving jokester.
He leaves to cherish his beloved and precious memories, his parents of Youngstown; three sisters, Johnndalyn Turner of Youngstown, Cana and Joardin Turner both of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Jalil Turner of Youngstown; a stepsister, Taylor Ferrell of San Antonio; two stepbrothers, Antone` ( Misty) Ferrell of San Antonio, Texas and Andre` Ferrell of Maryland; his godparents, Pastor Ernest and Vickie Ellis of Youngstown and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Annie Bryant Hardret, John and Jessie M. Turner and James Carter
Friends may call Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church.
