NEWTON FALLS, Ohio – Helen J. Keffer, age 93 of Newton Falls, passed away into eternal life on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 2:20 p.m. at Washington Square Nursing Home in Warren, Ohio.
She was born on July 15, 1923, in Denbo, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Joseph Miller and Estelle (Novasell) Miller.
Helen married the love of her life, Art Keffer on June 22, 1946 and they enjoyed 41 years of blessed marriage together before his passing on April 25, 1987.
Helen had lived in Newton Falls since the 1980’s working as a machine operator for NyMold in Garrettsville for many years before retiring in 1973.
She was a member of the St. Mary & St. Joseph Church and an Auxiliary member of the American Legion Post #674 in Windham.
Helen enjoyed crocheting, quilting afghans and making dolls.
Memories of Helen will be carried on by her loving family; her two sons, Arthur Keffer of Newton Falls and Edward Keffer of Independence, West Virginia; her two granddaughters, Stephanie (Todd) Tresino and Mackenzie Keffer; her three grandsons, Zachery Tresino, Ryan (Heather) Gamble and Brian Keffer; her four great-grandsons, L.J., Brier, Tucker Gamble and Brenden Tresino and two great-granddaughters, Haley and Jamye Keffer.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Albert Keffer; her brother, Joe Miller and her sisters Ann Zoretic, Lula Keys, Barb Friend and Louise Keys.
Private Services will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls.
Helen will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery next to her husband.
