LEAVITTSBURG, Ohio – William H. Dietelbach, 75, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Cleveland Clinic.
Bill was born on November 24, 1941, in Warren, Ohio to Glen and Ruth (Drumm) Dietelbach.
On June 1, 1960, he married the former Phyllis Joy, the love of his life and they have celebrated 57 years together.
Bill spent his career working in the blast furnace for WCI. He retired in 2000.
An active member of Northeast Christian Church, Bill and Phyllis held weekly Bible study in their home.
They also enjoyed spending summers camping in their “condo by the lake” at the Mosquito Lake Campground, where over the years, they have formed a group of friends that are as close as family. Most of all, Bill loved spending time with his family. Bill also loved fishing and old cars. He liked going to car shows and restoring old Chevys.
Friends may visit with his family on Monday, April 3, 2017, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, April 4, 2017, from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Homes, Warren, Ohio location; 180 Garfield NE, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
Bill is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his children, Denise (Rick) Davies, Michael (Aimee) Dietelbach and Jodi (Floyd) Harris; his grandchildren, Melanie, Steven, Amber, Cortney, Jenna and Glen; his stepgrandchildren, Cody and Mason; his great-grandchildren, Haley, Cyan, Anthony, Savannah, Maksim, Zander and Alea; his step stepgreat-grandchild, Gabriel; his sisters, Martha Kukura, Glenna Deal and Sandra (George) Crevier; his brother, Garry (Mary Mauro) Dietelbach and his sister-in-law, Sandi Sanderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Sherosky and several other loved ones.
