Helen Marie Kirsch, Newton Falls, Ohio - obit

NEWTON FALLS, Ohio – Helen Marie Kirsch, age 93 of Newton Falls entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Helen was born on March 28, 1924 in Berwind, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Anton and Theresa (Becerek) Bartek.

She has lived in Newton Falls most of her life.

Helen married Kenneth Phillip Kirsch, Sr. on September 23, 1944. Helen and Kenneth have been blessed with 72 wonderful years of marriage.

Helen was employed at the Ravenna Arsenal and retired from General Electric in Ravenna when she was 63.

Helen was a graduate of Newton Falls High School and a member of St. Joseph Church in Newton Falls.

She enjoyed day trips to Amish country with her close friends Pat and Linda, spending time with her friends, skyping with her son in the Philippines and watching the birds at her bird feeder outside her kitchen window.

Loving memories of Helen will be carried on by her husband Kenneth Kirsch, Sr. of Newton Falls; her daughters, Barbara (James) Demas of Columbus, Kathleen Kirsch of Columbus and Paula Overby of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, Kenneth P. (Liza) Kirsch, Jr. of the Philippines; brother, Thomas (Ruth) Bartek of Winchester, Tennessee; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at James Funeral Home.

A prayer service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral mass at St. Joseph Church.
