SOUTHFIELD, Michigan – Richard Levi Jordan, 73, of Southfield, Michigan, departed this life Friday, April 7, 2017 at his residence.
He was born October 11, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the son of Charles Robinson and Lucille Jordan Worthey.
Mr. Jordan moved to Detroit in 1965 working Construction and retiring from Great Lakes Steel.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and having a good time with family and friends.
Although most family members referred to him as Uncle Richard regardless of their kindred, he leaves to cherish his memories, three sons, Cornelius Searcy of Southfield, Michigan, Richard D. Jordan of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and JoJuan Jordan of Detroit, Michigan; three daughters, Ms. Michelle Hameed of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Ms. Richa Lowe of Farrell, Pennsylvania and Ms. Tashekko Broadnax of Detroit, Michigan; three brothers, Juan Worthey of Delaware, Anthony Worthey and Duke Worthey both of Warren; two sisters, Ms. Jeannie Williams of Warren and Ms. Beverly Thomas of Illinois; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; aunts of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ms. Cherylynn “Mousie” Worthey Brown; one brother, Alan Jordan; three grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Monument of Faith Church Of God In Christ in Warren, Ohio.
Calling hours will be held one hour prior to service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
