WARREN, Ohio – James Edward “Bubbo” Ball, 67, of 1951 Southern Boulevard, N.W., Warren, departed this life Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 4:05 a.m. at Gillette Nursing Home, following an extended illness.
He was born June 8, 1949, in Luverne, Alabama, the son of Willie Green Ball and Ollie Mae Wilson, coming to the area 59 years ago.
Mr. Ball was employed with Wendell Excell Window Company for seven years as a laborer, before retiring in 2009. He also worked at the Johnson Rubber Company in Middlefield as a laborer for four years.
He was a 1969 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School.
He was a member of The Greater Apostolic Faith Church and enjoyed sports, music and dancing.
He leaves to mourn three sons, Curtis Mannie Ash and Michael Ash both of Detroit, Michigan and Freddie Alonzo Ball of Warren; three sisters, Evangelist Barbara (Jeffrey) Daniel and Evangelist Dorothy (Wayne) Redd, both of Howland and Ms. Jackie Ball Lowery of Warren and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Willie Lee Ball and Darnell Ball.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at The Greater Apostolic Faith Church.
Family will receive friends at 2084 Howland Wilson Road, the home of his sister, Evangelist Dorothy Redd.
Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
