CHAMPION, Ohio – Carol Marie Johnson, 83, of Champion, Ohio passed away Monday, April 10, 2017, at her home.
She was born December 14, 1933, in Champion, Ohio, the daughter of the late B. Dale and Florence (Hatch) Crabbe.
On March 22, 1958, she married Lester William Dobough. He preceded her in death June 22, 1970. On July 1, 1972, she married her second husband, Donald A. Johnson and he also preceded her in death on March 26, 1995.
She was a graduate of Champion High School.
Carol was a homemaker and home health aid, retiring in 2008.
She was a member of Champion Christian Church and also played as the church organist.
Carol enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, reading, cooking and traveling. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Carol’s memory will be carried on by her children, Sandra “Sandy” (James Grooms) Cunin, Lori Dobough both of Champion, Ohio, Donald “Don” (Shelley) Johnson, Jr. of Southington, Ohio and William Dobough of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, Martha Walker of Champion, Ohio; grandchildren, Tiffany Cunin of Washington, D.C., Andrea Cunin of Raleigh, North Carolina, Kimberly (Gordon) Harry of Wake Forest, North Carolina, Carolyn Dobough of Columbus, Ohio, Monica (Terence) Check of Washington, D.C. and Devon Johnson of Southington, Ohio.
Besides her first and second husbands, Carol was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Louise Kimmet and brother, Richard Crabbe.
A graveside service will be held 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Champion Township Cemetery.
The family requests that material contributions be made to Grace Hospice, 7206 Market St., Suite B Youngstown, OH 44512, in her memory.
