SEBRING, Ohio – Dorothy A. (Lippiatt) Hutmacher, 93 of Sebring passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton.
Dorothy was born in Salem, on January 17, 1924 the daughter of the late Jacob and Eleanor (Ashman) Lippiatt.
Mrs. Hutmacher was employed at Copeland Oaks for several years.
She was a member of Pine Lake Christian Church and a member of the former Alma Chapter of Eastern Star.
Dorothy loved to bake she was known especially for her pies but most important to her was spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her son, Henry (Teresa) Hutmacher of Lisbon; daughter, Patty (Rick) Brinker of Sebring; daughter-in-law, Becky Hutmacher of Magnolia, Ohio and son-in-law, Kevin Iler of North Canton. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Adam (Ashley) Hutmacher of Lisbon, Abey Hutmacher of Kent, Rachel (Brett) Neff of Green, Jonathan Iler of North Canton, Jeff (Denise) Hutmacher of Akron and Lt. Colonel Scott (Kerry) Hutmacher of Germany; eight great-grandchildren, Moses, Emmett, Sydney, Avery, Isabelle, Jeff, Jr., Adelyn and Aldon and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Henry E. Hutmacher whom she married on May 15, 1946 and passed on October 22, 2012; a son, Roy; daughter, JoAnn and five brothers, Joseph, Robert, Glenn, Melvin and Charles; two sisters, Verna Stevens, Donna Jean Butch and two infant sisters.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Palmer officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2012 with the family present from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery.
