McDONALD, Ohio – Nathaniel “Vic” Biggins, Sr., 85, of McDonald, departed this life Friday, April 14, 2017 at 6:55 p.m. at his residence.
He was born April 15, 1931, in Grafton, West Virginia, the son of NT and Bertha Truss Biggins, coming to the area in 1941.
Mr. Biggins was employed with U.S. Steel Corporation for 37 years as a boiler makers helper before retiring September 1989.
He attended Centenary United Methodist Church, was a lifetime member of VFW Donald Locket Post 6488, U.S.W. Local 1330 and was a motorcycle enthusiast.
He served honorably in the U.S. Army as a Private 1st Class, during the Korean Conflict, receiving the Purple Heart after being wounded.
He married Anna E. Ash Biggins January 16, 1960.
He leaves to mourn one son, Nathaniel Biggins, Jr. of McDonald; three daughters, Ms. Cheryl A. Mobley of Kennesaw, Georgia, Ms. Annette L. Densu of Atlanta, Georgia and Ms. Victoria T. (Sam) Levy of Niles; seven grandchildren, Abdul Muhammad, Ms. Ebony Mobley, Ms. Natalie Biggins, Ms. Laurren Wagner, Brandon Paul, Mrs. Ashley (Lawrence) Taylor and Ms. Jaeleesha Biggins; eight great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at the Centenary United Methodist Church.
Calling Hours will be held two hours prior to service from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Burial will take place at Tod Homestead Cemetery.
Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Youngstown Funeral Home.
