WARREN, Ohio – Bryan F. Gibbs, 59, of Warren, went peacefully to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 16, 2017 at 4:30 p.m.
He was born June 14, 1957 in Warren, a son of Harry and Arlene J. (Harris) Gibbs.
Bryan graduated from Western Reserve High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served with the First Infantry division and was honorably discharged in 1985.
He had a varied work career specializing as a handyman and maintenance person working at the Warren Public Library before retiring.
Bryan loved and enjoyed his family along with writing stories, reading, collecting guns, repairing cars, weight lifting, painting and drawing funny cartoons with captions. He was an accomplished handyman who would gladly help anyone. Bryan was a special character and a positive force in his family’s life. He was dearly loved and will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor and his love for all animals. He was a gentle soul, the kind the world needs more of. Bryan loved the Lord and now he is at peace.
Surviving are his wife, Susan (Netotea) Gibbs; mother, Arlene J. Gibbs; four children, Angela (Sean) Hughes, Jared Gibbs and Heather Seitz, Nick Gibbs and Tonya (Cody) Ferguson; three grandchildren; Elijah, Connor and Lilly along with Heather’s three children whom he also considered to be his grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Sherry (Larry) Thellman and two nieces, Rachel (Billy) Bobbitt Cindea and Amanda (Amos) Cindea.
Preceding him in death were his father, Harry W. Gibbs; his grandparents and an aunt.
Per his wishes, there will be no calling hours.
Private graveside services were held at the Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
Arrangements for Mr. Gibbs were provided by the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, 533 North Park Ave. in Warren.
