SANDUSKY, Ohio (WKBN) – When Cedar Point opens May 6, guests will have to walk through a metal detector before they enter the park.

The park has used handheld detectors in the past, but the new walk through measure will scan everyone who enters.

New to the park this year will be the Cedar Shores Water Park, transforming Soak City into an 18-acre park. That park opens May 27.
