NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – A suspect was charged Tuesday with the robbery of a Niles jewelry store. Police searched a Warren home in connection with the crime later in the evening.
Investigators conducted the search at 1078 Perkinswood Blvd where they towed away a motorcycle from the scene. Police said they also found 324 jewelry items inside the house with a combined value of $317,685, based on the sale stickers attached to them. There were also five items people brought in to repair and 18 without price tags.
Police said the renter is a person of interest in the robbery of Direct Jewelry Outlet.
Zachary E. Bradford, 35, was also arrested and faces an aggravated robbery charge. He was arraigned in Niles Municipal Court on Wednesday morning, and bond was set at $50,000.
The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests may be made.
Investigators were reviewing security footage from the business on Niles Cortland Road on Tuesday.
