AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – On Saturday, May 20, 2017, Robert C. Bloom, age 71, passed into God’s care at his home.
He was born on July 15, 1945 in Youngstown, Ohio a son of Robert W. and Marjorie (Duke) Bloom.
Bob is survived by his beloved children, Robert W., Sr. (Christine) Bloom of Austintown, Dominic (Jessica) Bloom of Niles and Marjorie Bloom of Youngstown; stepson, Wally (Kim) Wasilewski of Austintown; grandchildren, Roberts W., Jr. (Tiffany) Bloom, Kiersten Bloom; stepgrandchildren, Walter IV, Wyntre and Cassandra Wasilewski and great-granddaughter, Abigail Bloom.
Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death on April 8, 2017 by his beloved wife, Linda L. Bloom.
Bob graduated in 1964 from Austintown Fitch High School then went on to honorably serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict from 1966-1967.
He retired after 40 years from General Motors and was and avid golfer, bowler and gardener. He also loved the outdoors and especially his Dalmatians.
