HOWLAND, Ohio – John P. Fuzo, 82, of Howland, Ohio, died at home Wednesday, May 24, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 25, 1934, in New York, New York, the son of Victor and Matilda (Gogal) Fuzo and had lived in Trumbull County for many years.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, John retired from the U.S. Post Office.
A member of Blessed Sacrament Church and the American Legion, he enjoyed the New York Yankees and Giants. He was also an avid golfer and loved to follow local sports, especially the ones in which his grandchildren participated.
Surviving are his wife, Antonia G. (Gonzalez) Fuzo, whom he married April 21, 1956; a son, John V. (Laurie Karasiewicz-Fuzo) Fuzo of Cortland; four daughters, Lori M. Fuzo of Cortland, Karen (Ora) Summerfield of Howland, Toni-Ann Fuzo-Tikkanen (David Tikkanen) of Austintown and Roberta (Anthony) Rotunno of Meadville, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Victor Fuzo of Roselle Park, New Jersey, Frank Fuzo of Flemington, New Jersey and a sister, Margaret Iwicki of Flemington, New Jersey.
Per John’s request, funeral services were private.
Interment has taken place at Howland Township Cemetery.
