RAVENNA, Ohio – Jerry Dean, age 83, of Ravenna passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, June 5, 2017 at his residence.
He was born August 12, 1933 in Burnsville, West Virginia, the son of the late Jennings Lee and Estie (Thompson) Dean.
Jerry grew up on the family farm in Burnsville.
He worked as a electrician in the Pittston coal mine for 19 years.
Jerry served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He liked riding his Harley Davidson, shooting muzzleloaders and hunting.
Jerry moved to Ohio to be closer to his nephew, Larry Dean, who looked after him.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville Township, Ohio.
Jerry was preceded in death by his four sisters Judy, Gilda, Kitten and Lane and his three brothers, Robert, Charles and Jim.
