YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Private services were held Monday, June 19, 2017 at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers for John R. “Bubby” Heck, 68, who passed away on Thursday morning, June 15, 2017, surrounded by his family.
John was born on March 31, 1949 in Butler, Pennsylvania, a son of Dorothy Sedoris.
He lived in the area his whole life and worked as a mechanic and sales rep, retiring in 2012.
His hobby was his car, a 1978 Oldsmobile Toronado, which he attended all the local car shows with his buddies.
John married the former Judy A. Wolfe on August 20, 1966 and she passed away on December 5, 2012.
He leaves his children, Sheila (Dave) Zagorsky of Struthers, Kenneth Heck of Youngtown and Dorothy (Jim) Crago of Leetonia, Ohio; two grandchildren, David, Jr. and Janelle Zagorsky; three sisters, Elaine Toney of Girard, Wendy (Dave) Kishton of Youngstown and Cher (Lee) Williams of Poland and his girlfriend, Margaret Blue.
He was preceded in death by his mother, wife and one brother, James E. Heck.
A special thanks goes to the sixth floor nurses at St. Elizabeth Mercy Health in Youngstown and Hospice of the Valley for the care they gave to John and the family.
