YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown’s boil alert has been lifted, according to the city’s engineering department.

A boil alert was issued on Monday due to a power outage that resulted in water depressurization.

The city’s east side, including those living east of Albert Street, north of Early Road and west of Liberty Road, were affected.

Drinking water samples were tested Wednesday and found not to be contaminated. The drinking water is now considered safe.
