SOUTHINGTON, Ohio – James Thomas Kovar, 72, of Southington, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
He was born March 6, 1945, in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Jerry G. and Rosemary (Donat) Kovar.
He retired as a laborer from WCI in 1998 after 17 years of service.
James collected antiques and his favorite antiques to collect were miniature trains. He enjoyed classic cars and fishing.
James was a selfless man who was always willing to help others.
James’ loving memory will be carried on by his two sons, Jerry Kovar and Kevin Kovar, both of Southington, Ohio; his grandson, Dustin (Mariah) Beery, whom James raised as a son; stepchildren, Kim (Ron) Kontour of Mecca, Ohio, Fred (Pam) Beery of Boardman, Ohio, Teresa Beery of Mantua, Ohio and Michelle Beery of Champion, Ohio; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas J. Kovar.
In accordance with James’ wishes, no service will be held.
There will be a celebration of James’ life.
Cremation has taken place.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home in Warren, Ohio.
