Reverend Banks was a humble and diligent servant to God’s people. Before accepting pastorship, Keith was the church’s janitor; assistant and armor bearer to Reverend Frances Segers, whom he succeeded and leader of Sunday Morning Devotion for several years. As pastor, Keith made a lasting impact on the church. He changed its name to Greater Pentecostal House of Prayer; groomed numerous leaders and clergymen and established community organizations, including the International Brotherhood of Christian Men (IBOCM).

Reverend Banks was a committed family man who will be remembered for his wisdom, incredible sense of humor, love for all people, devotion to his family and friends and unwavering faith in God.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 25 years, Reverend Letitia Scott-Banks whom he married February 14, 1992; his children, Keith Scott of Port Orlando, Florida, Jacqueline Reed of Struthers, Ohio, Monica Banks (Daniel) Allen of Youngstown, Ohio, Lamont Peterson and Amber Diaz both of Pittsburgh, Kyra Banks, De’Andrea Scott and Germaine Peterson all of Farrell; 25 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three Godchildren and a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Reverend Banks left his earthly home on Thursday, June 22, 2017 and was greeted in heaven by his parents; his grandparents; his sister, Wilma Vernell Banks-Williams; his brother, Willie Allen Banks and several aunts and uncles.
