NEW WATERFORD, Ohio – Helen M. McMillin, 93, a longtime resident of the area, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 in Hodgenville, Kentucky, where she resided with her daughter the past several years.
She was born September 8, 1923 in Enon Valley, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Joseph and Mabel Haskins Jackson.
Helen worked at Saw Recycle in administration for many years prior to retirement.
She was an active member of the First Church of Christ in East Palestine for many years.
At age 89, she became a Grand Parent Volunteer at Hardin County Teen Court in Kentucky.
Helen is survived by a daughter, Kay (Jake) Jacobs of Hodgenville, Kentucky; a son, Glen (Karen) McMillin of Rogers; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William McMillin in 2001 as well as a son, Robert Fleischman; two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, July 3 at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine with Jim Ostick officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to the time of service at 12:00 p.m.
A private interment will follow at the Glen View Cemetery.
