Police find car involved in deadly shooting on Youngstown’s west side

The shooting happened in the 100 block of Oneta Avenue in Youngstown on Friday afternoon

The house is located in the 50 block of Oneta Avenue on the city's west side.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown police believe they’ve found a car involved in a shooting on the city’s west side Friday afternoon that left a woman dead in her car.

Police said the car was parked at an abandoned house on Millet Avenue.

The Mahoning County Coroner identified the victim as 24-year-old Rae’venna Faircloth-Thomas.

The shooting happened in the 100 block of Oneta Avenue at 12:45 p.m.

Faircloth-Thomas was found with multiple gunshot wounds in her green SUV parked on the street.

Her death has been ruled a homicide.

An autopsy will be performed in Cuyahoga County.

Youngstown police and the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office will continue to investigate the case.
