Evelyn Warner, Austintown, Ohio - obit

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Evelyn Warner, 72, of Austintown, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Mercy Health Center in Youngstown.

Evelyn, known to everyone as “Evy”, was born on December 15, 1944 in Germany.

She was a 1963 graduate of Wauwatosa West High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Evy moved to the Mahoning Valley a few years after high school when she married the late Robert A. Loeb, Jr. Evy was a devoted wife and mother.

She worked as a floral designer for Dick Adgates in Austintown for many years. Evelyn retired from the floral industry in 2012 when she married the late Wayne Warner of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was of the Lutheran faith.

Evelyn loved the outdoors, especially Mill Creek Park. She also enjoyed traveling, reading, crocheting blankets for her family and spending time with her friends and loved ones.

She cherished and appreciated every moment spent with her family and friends. Her positive attitude and bright smile was a gift and will be missed by all who love her.

Evelyn is survived by her two children, David (MaryJane) Loeb and Andrea Queen, both of Austintown; five grandchildren, Amber (Steve), Samantha (Zach), Emily, Connor and Hannah; four great-grandchildren, Jeffery, Mylah, Kaison and Carter; her brother, Mark (Marie) Mejac; sister, Mona (Joel) Knutson; stepfather, Michael Mejac, as well as, nieces and nephews, all residing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Warner; her mother, Gina Mejac and her father, Georg Elsner.

Family and friends are welcome to attend her Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel.

Friends may call from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family thanks the staff at Mercy Health Youngstown for their compassion and kindness in Evelyn’s treatment.
