LEAVITTSBURG, Ohio – Waymon L. Murphy, 75, of Leavittsburg, died Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
He was born Januray 26, 1942 in Rome, Georgia, the son of Rev. Joseph S. and Sally F. (Bennett) Murphy and had lived in Ohio most of his life.
Waymon had worked at General Motors in Lordstown until retirement.
He enjoyed baseball, bowling, riding motorcycles and watching sports on TV.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret (Haught) Murphy, whom he married January 8, 1962; three children, Debbie of Leavittsburg, Wayne (Tanya) of Newton Falls and Diana Murphy of Warren; three grandsons, Justin, Dustin and Joshua Murphy; a great-granddaughter, Isabella Murphy; a sister, Juanita Zeigler and a brother, Charles T. Murphy.
His parents and a sister, Martha Murphy, precede him in death.
Per his request, cremation is taking place.
