HOWLAND, Ohio – Arthur W. Davis, Jr., 84, died Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Health Center.
He was born on March 14, 1933 in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Arthur Sr. and Helen Booth Davis.
Arthur was employed by IBEW 573 as an electrician.
He was a graduate of Warren G. Harding and served his country in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant.
He married the former Clara ( Toodie) Hinkle on September 9, 1953.
He was a member of Tod Ave Methodist Church and the Train Collectors Association.
He was a Scoutmaster for BSA Troop 9 for many years and was himself an eagle scout. He enjoyed reading..
Memories of Arthur will be carried on by wife, Clara (Toodie) H. Davis of Warren, Ohio; daughter, Sandy D. (Scott) Goodson of Maryville, Tennessee and sons, Mark A. (Debbie) Davis of Newton Falls and Eric (Julie Maclejewski) Davis of Howland; five grandchildren, Kathleen (Adam) Goodson Benitz, Brent (Samantha) Davis, Cynthia (Andrew) Goodson Blanchard, Lindsay (Gabe) Davis Vigorito and Mia (Kathy) Davis Wagner; six great-grandchildren and brother, John H. Davis of Lexington, Kentucky.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren.
Services will be held at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren Thursday July 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Thomas G. Badanjek officiating.
Services of final committal will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna, Ohio.
