Sandra "Sandy" Hrusovski, Salem, Ohio - obit

SALEM, Ohio – Sandra “Sandy” Hrusovski, 75, died peacefully, Sunday evening, July 16, at her home.

Sandra was born January 15, 1942, in Youngstown, the daughter of Harold and Luella “Sally” (Seifert) Gosnell.

Sandra married James F. Hrusovski, Sr. on July 20, 1960, sharing 53 years of marriage until his passing on December 10, 2013. Together their union produced two children.

Sandra leaves to cherish her memories her children; son, James, Jr. of Salem and daughter, Sherri of Salem; grandchildren, Mykie (Lindsey) Hrusovski of Cleveland, Brandon (Kayla Ringo) Hrusovski of the U.S. Navy and Andrew Hrusovski of Salem; great-granddaughter, Emma Hrusovski; her brother, Chip (Janice) Gosnell of Indiana; sister, Susan (Bill) Wayne of Austintown and brother-in-law, Roger Grafton of Howland.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Janet Grafton.

She was a 1959 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and worked as the activities director for Salem Convalescent Center for over 20 years until her retirement in 2000.

In her spare time, Sandra enjoyed being with her family and friends, making everyone feel welcome in her home. She took great pride in her gardening and being outdoors. Sandra enjoyed attending social events, watching the Triple Crown each year and attending casinos with family and friends. Above all, she took much pride in her family cherishing every memory that was made.

She was dearly loved by her children, grandchildren and extended family very much.

Per Sandra’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Material tributes may take the form of donations to the donor’s choice.

Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, North Jackson Chapel.
