SHARPSVILLE, Pennsylvania – Richard Dorfi, 55, of Sharpsville, passed away at 2:00 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2017, in his residence after an extended illness.
Richard was born December 10, 1961, in Sharon, a son of Michael and Eva Gehl Dorfi.
He graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1979 and was employed by Premier Hydraulics, Farrell.
Richard was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sharon.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, target shooting and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirate fan.
Richard is survived by two sisters, Edeltraud “Traudi” Sulek and her husband, Robert, of Hermitage and Ingrid Wozniak and her husband, Lawrence, of Mercer; two brothers, Walter Dorfi and his wife, Pam, of Hermitage and Michael Dorfi and his wife, Karen, of State College, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews; many cousins and special friends, Joe and Steve Olshavsky, Kevin and Mary Ellen Pollack and Josh Graves.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his oma, Helene Gehl.
Calling hours will be held 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 6 in John Flynn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2360 E. State St., Hermitage.
Memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 6 in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Jacob Deal officiating.
Cremation was held in the funeral home crematory.
