NEW SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Services will be on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in New Middletown for Richard L. Eshler, 45, who passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017.
Rich was born on August 20, 1971 in Chelsea, Massachusetts, a son of Roger L. and Susan D. Haney Eshler.
He lived in the area most of his life, was a graduate of Springfield Local High School and was the owner and operator of his own lawn care business.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, a lifetime auxiliary member of the New Springfield VFW “Triangle Post” 2799 and the Mahoning Sportsman Association in Hillsville, Pennsylvania.
Rich was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman. He enjoyed planting trees, plants, bushes and flowers at his camper at the family farm on Berlin Lake.
Rich leaves his mother, Susan of New Middletown; one brother, Dan J. (Deanna) Eshler of Louisville, Ohio. He leaves his nephew, Trevor and niece, Annaliese Eshler; his uncles, Ronald Eshler of Berlin Center, Ohio and Frank (Mary) Haney of New Middletown and first cousins, Frank and Molly Haney and his girlfriend of seven years, Mollie Dennison.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Ross and Mary Eshler and Frank and LaVerne Haney.
Friends may call on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church in New Middletown from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in the church, one hour before the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
