OVI checkpoints scheduled throughout Mahoning County

MAHONING COUNTY, Ohio (WKBN) – The Mahoning County OVI Task Force will be holding multiple sobriety checkpoints Saturday and Sunday night, according to the Canfield Police Department.

The first checkpoint will be on South Avenue near Midlothian in Boardman from 10 p.m. to midnight. The second will run from 1-3 a.m. on Market Street near Ferncliff in Boardman.

There will also be local saturation patrols throughout Mahoning County.

Police said the primary goal of the task force is to make roadways safer.
