MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina (Formerly New Wilmington, Pennsylvania) – Gertrude Marie “Gerry” Seelye, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolnina, formerly of New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, passed away of natural causes in Myrtle Beach. She was 97.
She was born on January 10, 1920, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Clarence E and Helen A. (Russell) Ryder.
Mrs. Seelye was the widow of Owen E. Seelye, whom she married on March 1, 1943. Mr. Seelye died on June 3, 1987.
In her early years, she enjoyed playing cards and raising golden retrievers. In her last years, she enjoyed spending time with her dogs, Jaz and Phoebe along with watching birds.
Surviving is her daughter, Patricia Sarver, of Maine; her grandchildren, Bobby Belotti and his wife, Chrissie, of Masury, Ohio, Maria Belotti, of Myrtle Beach, Tori, Annie and Patrick Sarver, all of Maine, as well as several great-grandchildren.
She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
