Question: What is the strength of your team?
Answer: Well, I think, that our team aspect, we play together as a team. That’s our best aspect because we don’t have any “I’s” on the team. Everybody on our team, we want to win. We don’t want to play one position and just get the ball every time. We care about winning and that’s what we practice for. We don’t practice for stats, we practice to win.
Question: How physical does your team play?
Answer: I think our, for our physicalness, Griffin Howell is a very good linebacker and he’s very physical. I wouldn’t want him tackling me. He’s pretty scary. We have Jordan Melton at the safety position and he comes up and hits. They put him back at safety. He used to be a linebacker. Now he comes up and flies and hits people. Those two guys hit pretty hard. They should scare the people we play.
Question: How would you describe your style of play?
Answer: Well, offensively, I like, whenever I run the ball, I look for the hole real quick but I’m quick to bounce it, too. I’m not a guy who runs people over. I like to get around people, make them miss. And, defensively, I’m not really a super hard hitter but I can get picks and knock the ball down. I’m not really like a hard hitter. That’s how I am defensively.
Question: What do you think is your best attribute?
Answer: I’d probably say my quickness, my speed.
Question: What football player has been the biggest influence on your style of play?
Answer: Well, I was a running back for awhile. So, Barry Sanders is my idol. I was number 20 but I changed to number 2 because I wanted to be a single-digit number. Barry Sanders, I’ve always watched the documentaries. I’ve always idolized him. He’s a good guy and a heck of a player, too.
Question: What’s it like to play with your brother on the team?
Answer: Well, my parents, actually, he’s supposed to be a grade under. They put him in school earlier so we could play ball together. I thought that was pretty cool. It’s working out pretty well, now that he’s the quarterback and I’m the running back/receiver. He throws me the ball. It’s pretty cool, a unique experience. Not a lot of kids get to do that, play on the same team. It’s pretty cool.
