SHARON, Pennsylvania – Harriet M. Moyer of Sharon passed away at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017, in Clepper Manor CCRC, Sharon. She was 80.
Mrs. Moyer was born October 5, 1936, in Greenville, a daughter of Harry and Louise (Patterson) Gilliland.
Harriet was employed for many years as a bartender at the former Glass Tower Bar, Masury, Ohio and later worked for the former Hollywood Lounge, now the Happywood, also Masury. She enjoyed country and western music, dancing and traveling.
Her husband, William Moyer, whom she married on December 15, 1994, passed away April 25, 2003.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Hanrahan, Sharon and Sandra Leggit and her husband, Bill, Alexandria, Louisiana; four sons, James Robert Parquette and his wife, Carol, Chicago, Illinois, Ronald Parquette and his wife, Paula, Nampa, Idaho, Daniel Parquette and his longtime companion, Debra, Idaho Falls, Idaho and Steven Parquette, Sharon; a sister, Marion Thome, Akron, Ohio; a brother, John Gilliland and his wife, Gloria, Warren, Ohio and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Harriet was also preceded in death by her parents; her adoptive father, William Zahnizer and three sisters, Peggy Keck, Pearl Buchanan and Nancy Kidd.
Calling hours will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State Street, Sharon.
Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017, in the funeral home with Rev. C. Charles Eckles, pastor of I.H.S. Gospel Ministries, Hermitage, officiating.
