WARREN, Ohio – There will be a funeral service held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road, Warren, for Kenneth A. Vesper, Sr., 88, of Warren, who passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 1, 2017, at his residence.
Ken will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his humbleness and straight forward attitude that he expressed to everyone.
He was born May 13, 1930, in Warren, Ohio, the son of August “Gus” and Helen (Roberts) Vesper.
Ken was a 1948 graduate of Howland High School and was a member of Grace Fellowship Church.
He began his career as an electrician with General Electric and then retired from Packard Electric.
Ken was a proud United States Navy Veteran and earned an Honorable Discharge on July 26, 1954.
Ken had many passions throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, golfing, vacationing at the beach and doing wood work. He also had a passion for animals and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels.
He leaves behind to hold onto his precious memories his son, Kenneth A., Jr. (Clorinda) Vesper of Howland; a daughter-in-law, Holly Vesper of Chagrin Falls; three grandchildren, Lacey (Nick) Cortello, Eric A. Vesper and Hailey K. (fiancé Ron Giermann) Vesper; three great-grandchildren, Davin, Demi and Heughan; a brother, Bob Vesper of Warren and his companion, Thelma Jaussen.
Besides his parents Ken was preceded in death by his wife, the former Marian Vencel; a son, Mark A. Vesper and the mother to his children, Mary Jean Zesut.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, from 4:00 – 5:50 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, Warren.
