Marianne Kralj, Youngstown, Ohio - obit

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A prayer service will be held Monday, September 18 at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Boardman-Canfield Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Christine’s Church for Mrs. Marianne Kralj who died Monday, September 11 at the Cleveland Clinic.

Marianne was born July 23, 1947 in Youngstown, a daughter of Alfred and Jane (Hamley) Stoops.

She was a 1966 Ursuline High School graduate.

Marianne was a member of St. Christine’s Church and worked many years in medical billing.

She married the love of her life, Alex Kralj, on August 5, 1967 and moved to Orange Park, Florida four years ago to be by their daughters and their families.

Marianne is a member of St. Catherine of Sienna and was very active in the church. On Thursday’s, Marianne and Alex helped with the Bingo and card games for Senior citizens.

She was also involved with the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Ladies group that supported the Knights Of Columbus.

Marianne’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren. If she could, she would have spent every minute with them.

Marianne leaves her husband, Alex; her three daughters, Lisa (John) Lucansky, Amy (Rick) Eplawy of Palm Coast, Florida and Janeen Bosi of St. Augustine, Florida; five grandchildren, Alex Lucansky, Anna and Mira Eplawy, Yvan and Aden Bosi; two brothers, Bob (Joann) Stoops of Struthers and Jimmy Stoops of Canfield; her two sisters-in-law, Dee Stoops and Sandy Stoops and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, Alex and her two brothers, Paul and Ron Stoops.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Marianne to St. Catherine of Sienna, 1649 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073.

Friends may call on Sunday, September 17 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
