CHAMPION, Ohio – Darlene Marie Sait, 65, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017, from complications to a five month battle with cancer at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
She was born November 30, 1951, in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Leroy “Lee” and Florence Wilson.
She was a 1970 graduate of Champion High School and the Long and McKleeven Beauty School.
She retired 2016 as Owner and Operator of the Hitching Post Beauty Salon after 30 years.
Darlene was a member of St. William Parish in Champion and did numerous volunteer work at the Church.
She enjoyed cooking, reading, spending time with her granddaughter and taking care of her pets.
She is survived by her father, Leroy Wilson of Champion; husband, Hysen Sait, Jr. whom she married August 1, 1970; a daughter, Dawn (Dennis) Resek of Ravenna; a granddaughter, Lauren Resek of Ravenna; a sister, Laura Stillwell of Champion; a brother-in-law, Tom Benning of Champion and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Florence Wilson and a sister, Terri Benning.
Family and friends may call Friday, September 22, 2017, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren, Ohio 44483 and Saturday, September 23, 2017, from 9:30 – 10:00 a.m. at St. William Parish, 5411 Mahoning Avenue NW, Warren, Ohio 44483.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Michael D. Balash officiating.
Entombment will be in all Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Darlene’s name to St. William Parish Building Fund, 5411 Mahoning Avenue NW, Warren, Ohio 44483.
