HERMITAGE, Pennsylvania – Daniel W. Stoup, age 62, of Hermitage, passed away on Thursday morning, September 14, 2017 in UPMC Shadyside.
He was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on January 22, 1955, to William L. and Lucille (Irwin) Stoup.
Dan was a 1972 graduate of Kennedy Christian High School and in 1974 he received his business degree from the Community College of Beaver County.
He had previously been employed as a program manager for I.C.F. Kaiser.
Dan attended the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.
He was an avid hunter and sporting clays competitor and he also enjoyed golfing and spending time at the family property in the Allegheny National Forest.
Dan is survived by his sister, Janet Dolan and her husband, John of Wexford, Pennsylvania; a brother, Pat Stoup and his wife, Sandra of Germantown, Maryland; a niece, Kristen Jones of Minneapolis, Minnesota and a nephew, Joseph W. Stoup and his wife, Gretchen and their two children, Noah and Ethan, all of Spokane, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Pam Stoup.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 11:30 a.m. at Church of Notre Dame in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, with Very Rev. Richard J. Allen, V.F., Pastor, as celebrant.
There will be no calling hours.
