WARREN, Ohio – Darrell K. “Kim” Gamble, Jr., 63, of Warren, died at home Saturday, September 16, 2017.
He was born September 9, 1954 in Warren, the son of Darrell K., Sr. and Gloria M. (Barnes) Gamble Scrivens and had lived in the area all his life.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Kim graduated from Warren Western Reserve and attended colleges in Minnesota and Maine.
He attended Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, flowers, basketball, reading and spending time with his grandchildren, whom he had helped to raise.
Surviving are his mother, Gloria M. Scrivens of Warren; his companion of 28 years, Regina Bush of Warren; two children, Kevin D. and Kimberly Gamble, both of Warren; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandchild soon to be born; two brothers, Arthur Brown of North Carolina and Alonzo Scrivens of Warren; two sisters, Delphine Green of Lorain and Patricia Richberg-Chilton of Cleveland and two nephews whom he raised, Delshawn Scrivens and Mar’Tes Jennings.
Preceding him in death are his father and mama, Darrell and June Gamble; two brothers, Lonnie Barnes and John I. Scrivens and three sisters, Lisa Marie Jennings, Janee Brown and Ellen Wade.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2017 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, with Rev. Noel Vaughn officiating.
Friends may call 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 25 at the funeral home prior to services.
Interment will take place 9:30 am Tuesday at Braceville Township Cemetery.
