CAMPBELL, Ohio – A funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Arthur Leon “Ardee” Holmes III, 28, will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. J. Dwayne Heard officiating.
Mr. Holmes departed this life on Sunday, October 1, 2017, in Campbell.
Arthur known to his family and friends as Ardee, was born May 4, 1989, in Youngstown, a son of Arthur L. and Vivian Heard Holmes II
He attended The Ohio State University and was a 2014 graduate of Youngstown State University.
He was employed with Direct International as their systems administrator and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
He enjoyed various musical genres, including rap and heavy metal and could repeat the lyrics to hundreds of songs.
He was a talented guitar player and he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents; his grandparents, Laney Heard and Althea Holmes; his sisters, Yolanda and Valerie Holmes; his aunts, Debra Heard (Curtis) Luckey, Sr., Asenath (Harold) Pitner, Autheretta (Clyde) Martin, Trina and Sonya Holmes; his uncles, Lorenzo (Donna) Heard, Lance (Sandra) Heard, Vernon (Celestine) Holmes, Clyde (Sylvia) Holmes and Keith Holmes and a host of other relatives including his special cousin, Curtis Luckey, Jr., who was like a brother.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James A. Heard and Arthur Leon Holmes, Sr.
Interment will be at Tod Homestead Cemetery.
