NEWTON FALLS, Ohio – Jill Koreen Greathouse, age 44, of Newton Falls, passed away into eternal life on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Cortland Health Care Center, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
On December 26, 1972 in Warren, Ohio, James Terrance and Judith Ann (Watkins) Alexi were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Jill.
Jill graduated from Jackson Milton High School.
She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, playing cards with her family and gardening.
She married the love of her life, Douglas William Greathouse, on May 25, 1996 and they have enjoyed 21 years of marriage together.
Jill had lived in Newton Falls since 1995, working as a state certified nursing assistant for Hattie Larlham for many years.
Memories of Jill will be carried on by her loving family including her husband, Douglas of Newton Falls; her daughter, Brittnay and (Lisa) Miktuk of Olmsted Falls; her son, Ethan Greathouse of Newton Falls; her sister, Jeralyn Yeager of Austintown and her brother, James and (Lisa) Alexi of Niles.
Jill was preceeded in death by her parents.
Calling hours will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Wednesday, October 11 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 12 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Steve Spurlock officiating.
Jill will be laid to rest in Lutheran Cemetery.
